Indicate below whether you can make our raid times frequently enough to maintain a 75% raid attendance. All times server.
Wed: 5:45 to 9 pm Yes /No
Thur: 5:45 to 9 pm Yes /No
Sat: 2:45 to 7 pmYes / No (I try to live outside of WoW on the weekends)
I saw Monday's listed as a time as well, I can make those.
Why did you choose your character's spec?
I've healed as a druid and a shammy on and off for the last 4 years. I even dabbled as a pally healer a little. What I like about the Discipline tree is it's not about how much you pad the meters as it is how well you use your talents to keep that person alive. You get any other healer and it's pretty much raw healing power. A disc priest I've seen make all the difference with the damage reduction abilities in some of the hardest fights in WoW. I remember when I did my first 25 man 3 drake... never was able to do it without our old Disc priest. I like that... the play style also keeps me active and interested!
Have you ever been a member of Unsung Heroes before?
No, I used to be in Shadow Council back in Vanilla WoW but left to go to the Horde on Medivh a long time ago.
Do you currently know anyone in Unsung Heroes?
No, I do not. I may have played with some of your alts as I do recognize the guild tag, but can't say I'm highly friendly with anyone... yet.
Are you older than 18?
Unfortunately I haven't been 18 in a long time... wish it weren't so, I don't like getting these gray hairs. I'm 29.
What is your previous MMO raid experience? Please indicate whether this was content you raided when it was on farm, during the learning process, and/or was only present for 1-2 kills. Before I quit I had been involved with relearning Naxx and completing the hard modes there. Then learning the 3 drakes on 10 and 25 man. Learning EoE 10/25 hard modes. I was VERY active with my last 2 guilds. I played t7.5 content as a DK until the guild broke apart and then when I found a new home, they needed a healer so I went back to my shaman. I was learning Yogg at the time. They were losing members so I decided a hiatus was necessary. I stopped playing for almost 5 months. I have not been to the new Trials content. Oh, been to sunwell, tanked Illidan and so forth in the past.
What previous guilds/servers have you been a part of, and why did you leave them? Please provide contacts from these previous guilds.
Garrosh, guild was called Cryme Tyme. Went through a slump and a lot of the guildies left. We then recruited a lot of undesirables that just made the atmosphere pitiful. I eventually left. Shortly afterwards they were finally able to pull back together and regain top spot on the server. Good group. I still talk to a few of them regularly. You can talk to Geewhiz about Arctoil.
Medivh, before I quit I was a part of the guild Synergy. They were a good group of people but when they started losing people and raids were being called I just kind got burned out. Decided I was done playing for a while. You can ask the GM about Toluth. I forget the names of the people I talked to there... I wasn't there for more than a few short months.
What preparations do you normally make before a raid, both in game and out?
Shoot, well in game ya gotta farm! Raiding is expensive. Got to have a few flasks, especially now that they are only 1 hour in duration. Out side of WoW it's good to catch up on the strats by using a site like Bosskillers. I have a few at home that I keep bookmarked.
Please indicate your normal fps and ms during raids, and note any areas that give you specific graphical latency.
I used to average in really heavy AOE fights 25-30 fps. But I'd be siting in a normal situation near 60 fps. My ping on SC has been consistent around 90ms. But I've seen some random slow downs that weren't shown in the numbers... not sure how my runs will be yet.
Finally, tell us why you'd be a good addition to Unsung Heroes. And throw in a joke! Well... I fart on a first date. I don't like bringing a fas-sad when I meet people online or off. I am dedicated to my game play but a fun loving guy. I enjoy making jokes or just joking with people... and now and then I enjoy hearing people slap their forward and pound their desks after I say something horribly far fetched. Hey it's a game . On a serious note I take my roles seriously and I know as a healer just as well as anyone that I'm going to get blamed for a lot of sh** and you know what, my skin is thick. You don't get a lot of people who can enjoy themselves as a healer.
Oh I have an alt.
